Zayn Malik, former member of the band One Direction, has finally opened up about his departure from the group. In an interview with Alex Cooper on the podcast Call Her Daddy, Malik revealed that he felt it was his time to leave due to internal politics and professional differences.
Malik mentioned that he had known for a while that something was happening within the band. He stated, "Look, I don't want to go into too much detail, but there was a lot of politics going on, certain people were doing certain things, certain people didn't want to sign contracts, so I knew something was happening."
He also acknowledged underlying issues within their friendships, explaining that after being together every day for five years, they got tired of each other. Despite this, he emphasized that they were close.
Regarding his solo career, Malik admitted that he still feels nervous performing on stage alone, even after a few years. However, he expressed his excitement and energy to get back on stage and connect with his fans. He expressed gratitude for the support he has received from his fan base and their willingness to listen to his music. He is eager to prove his fans right and is ready to release his fourth album soon.
